CUSTOMER STORIES
Honestly wish I'd switched sooner. I was sick of buying pods all the time and wanted something where I could just use the coffee I already like. It's become such an easy part of my morning now. Ground coffee, water, cup underneath and off it goes. Simple.
Exactly what I was after. I don't need screens, apps or twenty different settings before I've even had my first coffee 😂. Makes a nice filter coffee and takes up barely any room compared with my old machine.
The removable water tank is probably my favourite feature. Sounds minor until you've had a coffee maker that's awkward to fill every single morning. Easy to take out, fill and put back in.
At first I wasn't totally sure what style of coffee to expect. This isn't espresso — it's filter coffee. Once I understood that, I was very happy with it. Worth knowing before you buy.
Worth pointing out that this isn't pretending to be an espresso machine. It's proper filter coffee, which is exactly why I bought it. I've tried a few different ground coffees through it already and it's been great.
We don't have heaps of spare bench space and this fits in without taking over the whole kitchen. That's genuinely what sold me on it.
Love that I can walk into basically any coffee shop or supermarket, grab ground coffee I actually want and use it. No proprietary pods or ridiculous ongoing cost. Big win for me.
I was a little worried “compact” would just be marketing talk but it's genuinely narrow on the bench. Easy to make room for and doesn't make the kitchen look cluttered.
Simple electric filter coffee. Nothing complicated. Nothing unnecessary. Have been using it before work every day and I'm very happy with it.
The machine itself has been great. Just don't order it expecting next-day delivery. Mine took a bit of time to arrive, so I'd allow for the stated delivery window if you're buying it as a gift. Tracking helped.
Being able to use paper or a reusable mesh filter is really handy. I've mostly been using reusable during the week and paper when I want the quickest cleanup possible.
My old pod machine was convenient but I hated constantly buying capsules. This gives me the convenience I wanted while still letting me choose normal ground coffee. Much better setup for me.
I didn't expect to care this much about a coffee maker, but I genuinely look forward to making my first cup now. It just feels calm and easy rather than another rushed thing before work.
Very straightforward. Once you've worked out how strong you like your coffee, there's really not much to think about. Makes mornings easier.
I somehow assumed “portable” meant cordless when I first saw it. It isn't battery powered — you need a power point while brewing. At home or at work that's no issue at all, and I've been using mine constantly.
One of the main reasons I chose this over a larger coffee machine. I didn't want to lose half my bench to something I use once or twice a day.
Probably the best part of it. I already had a ground coffee I loved and didn't want to change just because I'd bought a machine. No issue here.
Being able to actually get to the water reservoir and filter area makes such a difference. I've had machines where cleaning feels like an engineering project. This is much more sensible.
I've been using a reusable filter and my normal ground coffee. Nice not throwing away a pod every time I want a cup.
I'm in an apartment and bench space is precious. This fits where I needed it without having to rearrange everything else.
Really happy overall. Just remember you'll need your coffee and suitable filters ready to go. Once I had everything sorted it was dead easy.
If you're looking for a simple filter coffee rather than café-style espresso, this is a cracking little machine. Does what I need without any nonsense.
I was looking at much bigger machines before realising I pretty much only drink black filter coffee at home. Glad I went with something simpler. Does what I actually need.
Bought mine for the office because I couldn't do instant coffee anymore 😅. Nice being able to bring in whatever ground coffee I'm drinking at home.
One stays at home and the other is at work. Cheaper than buying them separately and saves me drinking terrible office coffee.
Really enjoy it for black coffee. I'd only knock off a star because occasionally I'd like a flat white, but this doesn't froth milk and isn't meant to. For what it actually does, it's been great.
No special capsules, no subscription, no proprietary system. That's exactly why I bought it.
This sounds like a low bar but coffee machines can be a pain. Once this cools down I can get to the parts that actually need cleaning without much drama.
The compact design is genuinely practical, especially when you don't have a massive kitchen. Easy to keep things tidy between coffees.
I used to just buy whatever pods were on special. Now I've been trying different coffees from local roasters and it's honestly made my morning cup so much better.
Doesn't take much bench space width-wise, which is excellent, but I'd still measure your spot before ordering because you need enough height and room to access the tank properly. Fits my kitchen nicely.
I don't want coffee making to become another hobby I need to study 😂. Put the coffee in, add water and let it brew. Happy days.
Bought the multi-pack because we wanted one and had two family members who are big coffee drinkers. Worked out really well and felt more useful than another random present.
I really like pour-over coffee but I'm not always in the mood to stand over a dripper first thing in the morning. This suits me much better during the week.
The removable tank, accessible filter holder and compact shape make it feel like someone actually thought about how you'll use and clean it every day.
My first coffee came out lighter than I personally like. Played around with the coffee-to-water ratio and now it's spot on. That's more of a filter coffee thing than an issue with the brewer.
I drink black coffee 99% of the time. Paying hundreds for a big machine with a steam wand I'd never use didn't make sense. This is much closer to what I needed.
I like decent coffee. I don't like a ten-minute coffee routine. This hits the sweet spot for me.
I've been trying to cut down on single-use stuff around the house, so having the option to use a suitable reusable filter was important to me.
Not everyone has a giant kitchen or wants a café machine sitting on the bench. Small footprint, simple controls and parts you can actually access to clean. That's what I wanted.
There's obviously much fancier coffee gear out there, but I don't need half of those features. For an everyday filter brew with my own coffee, I'm stoked with this.
Compact, straightforward and the removable tank is handy. I'd personally love a bigger reservoir in a future version, but for my normal morning cup it's been more than enough.
Coffee brewing while I get a few quiet minutes before everyone else is up. Such a simple thing but I've ended up loving the routine.
Had a bigger setup previously and realised how ridiculous it was for the amount of coffee I actually make. This is much more practical.
This isn't an espresso machine, doesn't froth milk and isn't cordless. It's a simple electric filter brewer for ground coffee. That's exactly what I wanted, and for that job it does a bloody good job.
Easy to use, doesn't take over the bench and lets me use whatever ground coffee I want. Honestly can't ask for much more from it.

GOOD TO KNOW
Chapter makes filter coffee using ground coffee and water. Choose a roast you enjoy and a grind suitable for filter brewing. It does not use capsules, make pressurised espresso or froth milk.
Use ground coffee and a suitable paper or reusable mesh filter that fits the holder. You can choose your own coffee rather than a capsule system. Follow the supplied instructions for the coffee dose, water level and filter setup.
Yes. Every maker offered here has an AU plug and is the 220 V, 400 W model. It needs mains power while brewing; it is not battery-powered or rechargeable. Use it on a dry, stable surface near a suitable power point.
The assembled brewer is approximately 15.5 cm wide, 17 cm deep and 34.6 cm high. Allow extra space to fill the reservoir and remove the filter holder. The spout rotates 90° and the holder can be removed for storage once the brewer has cooled.
Set up the brewer following the supplied instructions. Add a suitable filter and ground coffee, fill the reservoir within its marked limit and position a suitably sized cup beneath the holder. Wait until brewing has finished before removing your cup.
Absolutely. Choose Single, Duo or Trio, then select Beige or Brown for each maker individually. You can match them all or mix the two colours. Your chosen quantities, colours and set total are shown before checkout.
Single includes one coffee maker, Duo includes two and Trio includes three, each in your chosen colour with an AU plug. The sets change the number of makers, not the accessories. Cups, coffee and decorative props are not included.
Tracked delivery is free across Australia for Single, Duo and Trio. We dispatch within 3 calendar days. Delivery is estimated at 7–15 calendar days after dispatch, so allow up to 18 days from ordering. These are estimates, not a guaranteed arrival date.

Switch off, unplug and let the brewer cool first. The reservoir and filter holder are removable for access when cleaning. Follow the supplied care instructions and never immerse the powered body in water. Do not assume parts are dishwasher-safe unless the instructions say so.
